Today, we’re going to introduce you to a vendor who’s made their mark in the wedding industry. We’re, of course, talking about none other than El Zocalo, the Meeting Place!
They are a plaza and wedding venue known for intimate wedding ceremonies. You can find them at Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, New Mexico.
El Zocalo translates to “the meeting place.” More than a century ago, it was a place in Bernalillo where people often met to learn and exchange ideas. Fast-forward to the modern-day, and it has still succeeded in this mission.
El Zocalo has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, so you can understand how special this place is. We welcome them today in our last vendor spotlight blog for January!
• What Views Does the Venue Offer?
El Zocalo offers both indoor and outdoor options for weddings. For the indoor space, there are adobe walls and brick floors that have been recently refurbished to meet the needs of event space.
The outdoor space is a courtyard that features fountains and grassy areas. It is also a focal point for the building and offers an amazing view of the Sandia!
• What Packages Do They Offer?
There are four unique packages for the El Zocalo venue: La Empanada, El Biscochito, El Pastel, and La Pastelita.
The La Empanada package provides 13 hours for your wedding ceremony and reception. In addition, it allows you enough time for setup and decorations; this package lasts from March through October and from November through February, but with different ranges in price.
The El Biscochito offers lesser time than the former – 10 hours. Therefore, this package is considered more budget-friendly than the La Empanada. It also provides plenty of time for your guests to mingle and dine.
The El Pastel package offers 6 hours while the last package- La Pastelita, offers an hourly rate service.
