Everyone loves dancing to a great playlist, but your wedding entertainment does not have to end on the dance floor. Your wedding can be even more delightful and interactive for your guests.

Wedding couples surprise and delight their guests with different reception activities that do not include dancing, but the reception stays fun and exciting! Would you like to know how they do this?

From the loved lawn games to professional performers, painting, and printing your face on a cocktail, here are unique wedding reception ideas that will keep your guests happy!

Have Fun in a Photo Booth or Two

Photo booths are always great at weddings. Guests love them and are always eager to show off weird but fun poses. However, we advise you to rent more than one photo booth to avoid a growing line of guests awaiting their turn at the photo booth.

Challenge Guests To An Outside Game

This wedding reception idea takes full advantage of your wedding venue. It is perfect if you’re planning a summer-themed wedding.

You can set up croquet or other lawn games or include monogrammed corn hole, giant Jenga, bocce ball, and any other exciting game you might have in mind. Use soft jazz music to set the game time and let your guests compete the day away!

Painting

You can get creative with this wedding reception idea. Hire a painter to capture a special moment of your wedding. If done right, this can even be a better alternative to photographs. Many of your guests would love to see the painter at work, watching the scene unfold on the canvas as evening creeps closer.

It will be a good idea to discuss with your venue coordinator to find a place where your wedding artist can get a full view of the venue and where your guests can observe.

But be mindful of the time and don’t get your guests bored, so have the artist start early to paint the background before guests come to the reception area.
