Wedding planning tips

Your wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your lives. We’re sure you are definitely ready to put in the extra leg work to make sure everything is perfect. From the moment you open your eyes on the Big Day to the moment you come back from your honeymoon you can have a perfect day. Here are some little but equally as important planning tips to keep in mind.

The Weather

Sure, you can’t plan sunshine on your wedding day, but what you CAN do is plan for the best and for the worst-case scenarios. For instance, if you are planning an outdoor summer wedding, be sure your guests have somewhere to go if a storm happens out of the blue. Also, make sure you keep everyone cool and safe, and make sure to keep insects at bay as well.

Use Your Credit Card

Weddings are not cheap in any way, but why not use this to your advantage? Use a credit card with rewards or travel miles and you might actually end up saving enough money for a more luxurious honeymoon (or at least pay for the plane tickets for it – which is still a great bonus, right?).

Get Organized

This is not just about the perfect wedding Pinterest board. It’s about keeping all of your vendor emails in one place (maybe create a Gmail folder especially for this – or even a special address for this?). It’s about making sure all of your receipts and invoices are well organized too. And it is, in the end, about hiring vendors who can be excellently organized themselves as well – the last thing you want is a wedding DJ that forgot his tuxedo at home, for example.

Ask Questions

It may feel awkward and you may feel MORE questions are the last thing your vendors want to hear and see. But in reality, they will be much happier with you asking questions than you ending up an unsatisfied client.
