For a long time for many brides and grooms, the idea of including their best friends of the opposite sex in their entourage did not happen (By entourage we mean bridesmaids and groomsmen). Lucky for you a female or male-only party is no longer a must. So, if you would rather have a ‘man of honor’ or a ‘best-woman’ we say go for it! Here’s how to pull-off a mixed-gender personal entourage.
· Include Them in The Pre-Celebrations
As a lady, don’t be afraid of your male friend being part of your celebration! He is your friend for a reason so including him in the planning could make everything even more fun.
This goes for groomsladies, a night out with the boys is a great way to celebrate your friendship and help her get to know the rest of your groomsmen better.
If they do not however want to be part of the group pre-wedding hangouts, you can schedule some time for you both to spend together alone.
· The Fashion
For the bridesman, you can have him wear a suit of the same color as the bridesmaids or just have him wear a tie that matches the color. While for the groomslady, she can go for a dress or suit that matches with the rest of the groomsmen.
· For the Procession
For the procession, the bridesman can walk down the aisle with the rest of the bridesmaids and then stand on the bride’s side of the altar too. The groomslady could also stand on the groom’s side of the altar. You might however want to skip the part where the groomsmen escort the bridesmaids down the aisle.
