As the bride, you want to look simply beautiful at your wedding. Of course, your beauty will come from within – from all the happiness, joy, and excitement you’ll feel on the wedding day. However, buying a pretty wedding dress is probably important for you as well.
What is the very best time for this? We have some tips for you.
Most of us like options. Bridal gown designers can take 6-9 months to get your dress to your shop. Then you also need time for alterations.
Shopping 10 months in advance seems to be the best time – not too far out and not too soon.
We also need to have time for alterations, so make that 10 months in advance for having no stress on making it.
Beware of rush fees to get a dress in early. Those can be anywhere from $100-$300 extra depending on the designer’s charge.
Now what about shopping well before 10 months out?
Then there’s a different problem. Designers often discontinue dresses, so if you find one that you’re in love with – or find one off the rack – it could be gone when you’re ready to buy.
So go dress shopping when you’re ready to buy a dress if you’re in love with it.
And what about buying a dress less than 10 months out?
That’s not a problem either. Several of our Albuquerque shops have dresses in stock that you can take with you. Check out your options.
