Your Wedding Guest List

Your Wedding Guest List

Creating a guest list isn’t always easy, take a look at these tips to assist

Your wedding should be filled with happiness and joy – and creating the right guest list is very important when it comes to this. Moreover, if you are running on a tighter budget, paying close attention to the people you include in your guest list can be extremely important too.

How to do it, though? How to create the perfect guest list for your Big Day? We have gathered some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

·       The friends. Invite close friends and people who truly love you. You should not feel obliged to invite people you haven’t talked to in a long time (e.g. your high school best friend) and you should not feel obliged to invite friends just because they invited you at their own wedding too.

·       The relatives. Choosing which relatives to invite at the wedding can be extremely tricky. In general, inviting the parents, aunts, uncles, siblings and grandparents should be a no-brainer. However, you should be very careful when inviting relatives that are not so close to you. For example, inviting your cousin but not his/her siblings can lead to a lot of bad feelings in the family – so you should either invite all of them or none at all.

·       The co-workers. No, you don’t have to invite your co-workers. However, if you decide to invite some people in your department, you should invite all of them. If you have people with whom you are socially friendly outside of the working hours, feel free to invite them and not the rest of the department. As for the boss, you should invite him/her if you feel that not doing this would affect your work relationship (e.g. you have invited the whole department, but not your boss).
