An Outdoor Venue – questions you should ask

An Outdoor Venue – questions you should ask

Be sure you're not caught by surprised if you don't ask

Be sure you’re not caught by surprised if you don’t ask

With spring and summer right around the corner, we can expect more and more outdoor weddings as well. And if you have your heart set on an outdoor affair, you should first and foremost make sure you ask the right questions, so that you choose a venue that truly suits your needs and your wedding style.

What are these questions? What to ask your outdoor wedding venue before booking them? Read on and find out more.

·       Electricity and lighting. This may come without saying for a lot of you, but you should still make sure to ask your venue whether or not there’s electricity and lighting on the site. After all, the last thing you want is to leave your guests in the dark…literally.

·       Furniture and rentals. Another thing you should make sure of is that your guests are properly accommodated. Ask your wedding venue if they can provide you with furniture and other wedding items for rent (or if they can recommend a vendor who will do this for you). Also, don’t forget to ask about toilets as well! It may sound odd to do this in the 21st century, but depending on where your outdoor venue is located, you might have to actually ask this question.

·       Weather and attire. While your venue manager cannot predict weather with so much time ahead of the wedding day, he/she can at least suggest what normal weather is like during that time of the year. Ask and see what type of attire is suitable for yourself and for your wedding party and guests as well.
