Some wedding expenses can be easily forgotten
Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and dedication – but maybe more than anything, it takes an almost superhuman attention to detail. Some things can very easily slip through and end up on your wedding day without even giving a “sign” – and “hidden” expenses definitely fall into this category.
What are some of the most common wedding expenses brides and grooms forget about? We have some tips for you – read on and find out more.
· The dress. When buying the wedding dress, be sure to include your alteration fees into the budget as well. Most brides need wedding gown alteration services, especially since it can be nearly impossible to fit into a dress when you get it off the rack.
· Valet and coat checking. Planning a very elegant wedding? You might want to provide your guests with valet and coat checking. Some couples choose to pay for this themselves, while others hire service providers that accept gratuities from the guests themselves. Either way, be sure to ask first!
· Postage. If you are running on a tighter budget, we definitely advise you to settle on a simpler, normal-sized wedding invitation design. Otherwise, you might end up paying a lot of money for the postage fees.
· Gratuities. Considering you will interact with a lot of service providers for your wedding, you will be expected to tip them as well. Before you hand in the gratuities, read your contracts once again though – the tips may be included there!
