Make Reservations Early: Call your caterer 6 to 8 months before the wedding with:

Reception time _______ Number of guests _______ Budget _______________________

Some Taos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque reception sites get booked early. It might help to have an alternate date or alternate reception sites in mind before calling.  

Catering Needs:

Menu/Service Style: Decide what style of food service will best suit your budget.

Once you’ve selected the service style, your caterer will help you select menu items.

Beverages: Decide what type of beverages will be served.
____ Coffee/tea ____ Non-alcohol punch ____ Punch w/alcohol 
____ Champagne/wine ____ Beer ____ Hard liquor

Check with the facility where the reception will be held whether alcohol is allowed and what restrictions may apply.

Miscellaneous: Once you’ve selected the style and menu, your caterer will help you select serving items. You’ll need to decide if you want:

____ Paper plates ____ China ____ Plastic utensils ____ Flatware____ Plastic glasses 
____ Glass ____ Disposable table coverings & napkins ____ Linen table cloths & napkins

Your caterer can also make suggestions about champagne fountains, festive table displays, candles and other reception decorations.
