What Parts of The Wedding Planning Does Your Partner Handle?

One thing about weddings is that a lot of times, all the advice and the tips are given with the bride in mind. This often leaves the groom / partner confused as to what he should do and where to start. You can’t and shouldn’t leave all the work to your bride. That’s why we have put together this list containing general duties that the groom/partner carries out during the wedding planning. Keep reading to see them.

• The Budget

You have to work out your wedding budget with your bride before you even start your wedding planning. Have a sit down with your in-laws, your own family and everyone who will be involved with your wedding financially. You should also allocate costs to the various aspects of your wedding.

• The Rings

The significance of the wedding ring is a circle that has no end. You’ll be the one arranging your rings. Here’s a tip: It is different from the engagement ring. Also, try not to lose it before the wedding ceremony.

• The Music and Entertainment

This is an important part of your wedding. You’ll have to sit down with your fiancé and choose some songs you’d want to hear in particular. Then meet with DJs and bands and select the one you like best.

• The Drinks

Arrange for the bar and then pay for it.

• Transportation

How are you and your guests getting to and from your wedding? It’s up to you to organize.

• Your Wedding Night Accommodation

You only get this night once in your marriage so make sure it’s special, relaxing and memorable.

• Your Honeymoon

You’ll be doing this one with your fiancé. Pick a location you both like, make plans and then pay for it. Or you can hire a honeymoon planner.

• Your Wedding Ceremony

Arrive to the altar on time and in great condition. Forget all those movies, your bride will not appreciate you becoming a source of concern on your wedding day.

• Your Speech

Yeah, you should have a witty fun speech, but please do away with the bad jokes. Run it by an honest friend or two before your wedding day to make sure it’s perfect.
