Wedding Cake Alternatives

Wedding Cake Alternatives

Wedding cakes are classic, but not every couples’ favorite thing. If you don’t want a cake at your wedding, here are some other sweet alternatives that wedding guests are loving right now:

Cookies. Having a cookie bar at your wedding is a tasty alternative to having a cake. Cookies are smaller and easier to serve. You can also get a variety of flavors to make sure every guest finds something they love. A collection of cookies might also be cheaper than a full, decorated wedding cake.

Pie. If cake isn’t your thing but you like the idea of cutting it, consider pie for your wedding. Pies can take the decorative place of a cake and still be something for everyone to share. Depending on your flavor preferences, you can choose different tastes, sizes and styles. If you want to keep serving simple, consider mini-pies that guests can choose for themselves.

Cupcakes. Maybe you love wedding cake and how it tastes, but you’re looking for something different. How about cupcakes? Some couples get only cupcakes, while others opt for a small cake to cut in front of guests and cupcakes to share with everyone else. Cupcakes can be a great way to have a variety of flavors while sticking to the classic cake theme. Cupcakes are also easier to serve than slicing and serving pieces from one wedding cake.

Candy Bar. If you’ve got a sweet tooth that isn’t satisfied by pastries, a candy bar might be for you. Pick you and your fiance’s favorite sweets and let your guests serve themselves. Candy bars can be easy to set up and take down, and you don’t have to worry about getting cake smeared in your face.

Fruit bowls. Maybe you don’t have a sweet tooth, or your guests’ dietary restrictions are too many to count. Fruit bowls are another great option. Find a caterer or DIY. Pick your favorite fresh fruits and serve them to your guests for a healthy and sweet treat.
